How to Track Starlink Satellites in Real Time
Updated 5 June 2026
Tracking satellites used to require specialist software. Today it runs right in your browser. Here's how to follow the Starlink constellation in real time on TrackStarlink.
1. Watch the live globe
The home page renders the entire active constellation on a 3D globe. Each dot is a real satellite, positioned using its latest orbital elements (a 'TLE') and the SGP4 propagation model. Click any satellite to open its page and see live altitude, velocity and orbit.
2. See what's above you
The Coverage page answers the practical question: which satellites are over me right now? Search your city or use your location, and you'll get a live count, a sky chart, and a table telling you where to look in the sky and how high above the horizon each satellite is.
3. Understand the numbers
Elevation is how high a satellite sits in the sky — 90° is directly overhead, 0° is the horizon. Azimuth is the compass direction to look. Range is the straight-line distance to the satellite. Together these tell you exactly where a satellite is in your sky at that instant.
