Contact
TrackStarlink is a small independent project, not a company with a support desk. One person reads the inbox. That is worth knowing before you write, because it sets realistic expectations about what happens next — but genuine corrections and technical questions do get answered.
Everything goes to one address: hello@trackstarlink.com. Using one of the prefilled subject lines below helps things land in the right place.
Corrections and data problems
If a satellite's position looks wrong, a pass prediction did not match what you saw, or a page shows numbers that contradict each other, this is the most useful email you can send. Report a data problem.
Please include, where you can:
- The page URL, and the satellite name or NORAD catalogue number
- What you expected and what you saw, with the time and your rough location — pass predictions are location-specific and unreproducible without it
- Whether the discrepancy was small (seconds, a degree or two) or large, which usually distinguishes stale orbital elements from an actual bug
Questions about tracking
Questions about how any of this works are welcome, though the guides and FAQ already answer most of them in more detail than an email reply would. Ask a question.
Press and research
For questions about the site's data sources, methodology, or use of its figures in an article or paper: press enquiries. The short version is that orbital elements come from CelesTrak and are propagated with SGP4; the guide on how satellite tracking works explains the full chain and its accuracy limits.
Advertising and partnerships
Advertising enquiries. Note that this site is not affiliated with SpaceX and does not sell Starlink hardware, subscriptions or referrals — enquiries on that basis will not get a useful answer.
What we cannot help with
A recurring source of email, so stated plainly: TrackStarlink is an independent tracking site with no relationship to SpaceX. We have no access to accounts, orders, hardware, billing or service status.
- Starlink account, billing or order problems — contact Starlink support through your account
- Service availability at your address — only Starlink can answer that; this guide explains why availability is a ground-capacity question rather than an orbital one
- Hardware faults, dish alignment or installation support — Starlink support, or the app's built-in obstruction and connectivity checks
- Anything requiring us to contact SpaceX on your behalf, which we cannot do
Response times
Corrections and technical questions usually get a reply within a few days. Everything else may take longer, and messages that are clearly automated or off-topic will not get one. If a correction is confirmed, the fix ships and the page updates — often without a reply first, so check the page before following up.
Privacy
Email you send is used only to answer you. It is not added to a mailing list, sold, or shared. See the privacy policy for how the site handles data more generally.
